Summer Bible Reading Plan

Join us this summer as we read the Bible together as a church family! This June and July we plan to read the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts together as a church. This is an opportunity for us to continue to work towards a culture that loves, treasures and delights in the Bible together.

As a church we are committed to biblical instruction and that doesn't just mean on Sunday mornings, but as a church we long to see the Bible have daily impact on us personally and on us corporately.

We're excited to see what God does with our time in the Word this summer. Check out more details below!

As a church we are planning to begin reading on Sunday, June 1st and will continue to read together through July 31st. Throughout that time we will have a couple opportunities to dig deeper together, while encouraging regular communication with others in the church and/or reading with others! Learn more below:

    July Schedule

  • There are going to be several opportunities for us to learn together as we read together:

    • Sermon series in June entitled Read Your Bible. We'll spend 4 weeks considering some different themes from the Bible's longest chapter in its longest book all about the Bible itself: Psalm 119.
    • Sunday School in June. During this month we're also be providing two adult Sunday school classes. A female only class called: "Learning to Study to the Bible" and a male only class called: "Meeting with God."
    • Bible Bootcamps - these are opportunities to dig deeper into these two books of the Bible together. We'll do one considering Luke on Saturday, June 28th. And one considering Acts on Saturday, July 26th.
  • Here are some of our suggestions and opportunities to read with others:

      • Find a friend or two who you plan to regularly ask about what they’re reading, and plan to share the same with them.
      • You can setup a group text, or call regularly two or three people to ask what they learned or to read with them.
      • Or, we plan on having a group on the YouVersion Bible app search "Stafford Baptist Church" where you can find a similar reading plan and post comments to talk about it tighter.
      • Find a time where you can read together! Say every Wednesday morning you’ll get together and read the chapter for that day – and talk about it.
These are just suggestions, be creative!
